I will always have a soft spot in my heart for apocalyptic, zombie films. This one doesn't disappoint in any way, shape or form. It is comedy horror and doesn't take itself very seriously and is therefore a GREAT deal of fun. It has no shortage of gore and blood and great characters. This is one of those movies that I cannot wait for the DVD to come out.

Basically, I think all romantic comedies are pretty much the same: They meet, the get together, they break up and they get back together. A soft rock song plays as the credits roll. But for those of us who never seem to get tired of this formula (this one mixes in another worn out formula: A Christmas Carol) this is a decent rental.

Perhaps my all around favorite movie because it covers all of the basics: Action, humor, music, story and heart.

I'd give it six if I could. I don't really know how to critique a movie. I just know how they make me feel. No movie has ever impacted me as significantly as this one. I loved movies before I saw this in '77, but movies became my passion after I saw it.
