Ambitiously titled sequel to Twilight (it's a saga now?) follows the continuing adventures of Bella and Edward, with a third key character, Jacob, thrown in for good measure. Stale soap opera plot is just like every love triangle story you've ever seen. I kept thinking I was watc...( read more)hing an episode of Days of Our Lives except with vampires and werewolves, of course. On a positive note, the cinematography is stunning as the whole film has the look of quality. However, as in the first story, there are several unintentionally funny parts. Apparently Jacob and his crew seem to be allergic to wearing clothing. Fans of the series will probably be interested in these characters, but all others will be bored

I watched New Moon yesterday and overall I think it's pretty good. Some people are saying there wasn't enough action in it.. well people did you read the book? There wasn't much action in that either.

The movie followed the book fairly well I thought. In fact overall, I was pret...( read more)ty impressed with the movie. The wolves looked cool. I reckon the next movie will be great as it will have more action scenes in it with wolves fighting vampires and so forth.

The acting wasn't so great. The person who played Jacob did a pretty good job, the person who played Laurent did a fairly good job and the person who played Bella did better than last time and was pretty good in this movie. However, the person who played Alice wasn't very spectacular and I don't think they played her character well and as usual I think Robert Pattison can't act.

Other than that I loved the movie. If you can get past the dodgy acting it's good. If you liked the book of New Moon you should like the movie.

Ok I'll admit it. I loved this movie. I left the theatre with that happy tingly feeling. Of course I know what's going to happen, but to see it played out was awesome.

I thought the acting was good. Taylor Lautner being my favourite. He really shined in this. He's good at bei...( read more)ng the fun-loving Jacob and the serious Jacob. And everytime, that Kristen and him would almost kiss, mt heart would beat faster and faster and I wouldn't silently say to myself " Don't do it". Although I'm sure if it happened I would have been just as giddy as I was when I left. And sure helps that Taylor is hot. Couldn't tear my eyes away from those abs. I'm sure Taylor will have a real good career ahead of him. Of course Dakota was awesome. It's neat to see her play an evil character for once. And she was great doing it. Disappointed that I didn't see much of Jamie Campbell Bower, or Cameron Bright. Very little screen time. I think they said like 1 line each. But we are sure to see more of them in future movies. Of course Rob and Kristen were great. Well let's just say I was pleased with everyone.

I liked the writing in this as well. Plently of funny moments that made laugh. That Face Punch movie sounded incredibly funny. Or when Bella sees Jacob become a werewolf for the first time and one of the wolf pack members (not sure which one) goes "Well I guess the wolf's out of the bag". There was also a lot of other funny parts but it's best if you see it for yourself.

The CGI was pretty good too. I liked how the wolf pack transformed into wolves. That was pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was like how the vampires ran or the volturi fight towards the end. To me, it didn't look very top notch.

So overall I enjoyed it. And I think Chris Weitz really captured the essence of the movie. I laughed, I swooned, my heart nearly wanted to explode out of my chest over the emotional scenes. So it was good. I was pleased. I didn't like the way it ended. It was kind of blunt. The fans of the books know what happen anyway, so I guess it was more of a teaser for those who haven't read the book. But I felt it could have ended better.

Not bad, The story is a lot more developed than the first, and the main characters are given a lot more depth. It does plod along almost like a soap opera, and I still think the characters are not very well written. Plus you could clearly see that they threw a lot more money at ...( read more)the production this time around, compared to it's dodgy predecessor. Definitely one for the ladies.

I noticed immediately that the make-up was great, I mean, there wasn't one red-eared/red-necked/red-handed vampire to be seen. That alone makes it better than Twilight. New Moon is a really easy, feel good kind of movie and I definitely left the theater grinning

i liked the book better, i think they didn't drag it out enough before edward left, and the time she spent with Jacob though.
