A jerk guy gets the girl of his dreams kind of movie. Very typical with the twist from A Christmas Carol. The only great part of this movie was Emma Stone. Love her.

Matthew McConaughey is hot, and Jennifer Garner is beautiful. This we know. Being a fan of both of them, I had to check this movie out. Knowing what I was probably in store for, a cheesy somewhat amusing, oh so predictable chick flick.
Meet Connor Mead. A pretentious, self lovi...( read more) -

I am not to crazy about Matthew or Jennifer, but this was kind of cute. This has been made a few times over but it still kept me entertained enough to sit through the whole thing. Same old story, guy loves girl, she breaks his heart, he turns into a jerk...blah blah blah. This is...( read more)

Ok, we all know the plot line of "A Christmas Carol" right? We've seen it done a million different ways, so there's no surprises here.

Predictable and was too similar to other movies I had seen before. I wouldn't watch it again.

Every audience member with an intellect bigger than a squid's knows at all times where Ghosts is heading. full review
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past doesn't do Dickens any favors, but in a year that brought us Bride Wars, it'll do. full review
Matthew McConaughey doesn't have a ghost of a chance in this mirthless romantic comedy that's anything but ROMANTIC. full review
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past never comes as close as spitting distance to a laugh. full review
A bizarre conflation of chick flick and A Christmas Carol. full review
Douglas, radiating an arid narcissism, does look as if he was recently exhumed. Whether this is a deliberate makeup choice or unfortunate lighting is hard to guess. full review
The formulaic story evaporates faster than cotton candy, and it's often as cloyingly sweet and tacky. full review
Ghosts is better-than-average McConaughey swill, but not by much -- that's its pleasure and its curse. full review

December 12, 2008I've been looking forward to seeing this movie eversince betty thomas was set to direct it and ben affleck was supposed to star but couldn't due to failed scripts. Well, aside from that fact, I'm looking forward to this movie cause the message of this story is about a single man's realizes dating gets boring eventually and decides that he wants to settle down.
