Role-Playing Geek Fest! It was great, and reminded me of our D&D game sessions. I like the fantasy sequences, which were a large part of the movie. Very well done. Amateur video production, but the actors and story had a lot of heart. More enjoyable than Gamers! and the official ...( read more)Dungeons & Dragons movie. There were lots of funny scenes.

You don't have to play Dungeons and Dragons or any other tabletop roleplaying game to enjoy this movie, but you get more out of it if you do. This low budget, yet highly entertaining movie pokes fun at the things that happen oh so often to gamers of all kinds.

The limited compu...( read more)ter graphics used are weak...like comparing any big budget action movie to...MS Paint. They're almost bad enough to jolt you out of the created fantasy world, but at the same time they're bad enough to be laughable. Already available on DVDl, a Director's Cut with better computer graphics, options to watch the original cut or an edited 'family viewing' cut should make 'The Gamers' more enjoyable and accessible to a wider audience.
