Halloween 2 picks up after the events of the first one and again we go on a killing ride with Michael Myers. But Rob Zombie pits us with a sheer killing machine and a re-inverted Michael Myers too, more beef up and extremely dangerous and someone you never want to meet in a dark ...( read more)

Movies that contain Rob Zombie's name in the direction shouldn't be subjected to the process of critiquing. Because his movies aren't just bad movies without script, direction, acting, depth, height and quality - but they are movies that are embarrassing and offensive to t...( read more)

Well you can tell this is a Zombie flick, more like an MTV music video with tonnes of hand held shaky camera angles and pans and tonnes of needless nasty violence and gore, some will like some will not. I personally didn't like this sequel, the first was actually a good film but ...( read more)

This actually looked scary from the trailers. (& in parts in a way it was so there?s afew GOOD points there..) However?its Rob Zombie who in the past I?ve said I thought it would be scarier (oh there gore.) there?s one part that makes me think of Alice in Wonderland. One of the t...( read more)

I love the Halloween series. The original is one of my alltime favourite films, and I love Part 2 along with H20. The others aren't great, but I still enjoy watching them from time to time. The remake disappointed me a bit, but I still thought it was an OK film. This sequel blows...( read more)

I didn't care for Zombie's first one, and this is a much bigger mess than that was. There are certain scenes here that mak no sense, and add nothing to anything, and all the scenes in the movie overstay their welcome by a good 2-5 minutes. It makes for a frustrating and plodding ...( read more)

Overall, this is definitely not the worst in the series by far, but it was very disappointing.

Zombie isn't a storyteller, he's a wallower. And because his movies take place in a culture of violence and sadism, there's nothing for Michael Myers to do except echo what's already there and slaught... full review
Without a new path for its central trio, Halloween II merely rehashes in quick, distracted swipes. full review

October 15, 2009I really liked this movie in a day and age when the slasher flick has been reduced to stupid characters and even more ridiculous plots (ie. Jason X). Rob Zombie shows that with a little effort on script and direction even a classic can be transformed into something new for future generations to enjoy

September 9, 2009Saw Halloween II in theaters, and I must say I was highly disappointed. You can tell by my profile that I am a bit of a Halloween buff considering I work for a Halloween Costume Website. The first of these retellings was excellent. It added new depth to characters that were lacking in portrayal and took new turns into unexplored territories of the franchise. This newest installment did nothing of the sort.
I felt the original gave the appearance that the film was set in the 70s and then perhaps the 80s, however in this they have cell phones, make references to Fergie, there are new cars, etc. Also, they give no explanation as to how Michael miraculously survives multiple .357 (a gun designed to destroy tissue and organs) gunshot wounds.

August 24, 2009I look forward to being irreparably psychologically damaged by this film. I don't know why, but I do.

June 13, 2009The first remake wasnt great, but seriously dont bother trying to remake one of the best horror films!! Its the same that goes for Friday 13th, the new one, was alright but never make a remake unless your sure you know people will actually LIKE it.
