Charlotte Rampling mini-bio: Charlotte was born in England but educated in the Jeanne d'Arc Academie for young girls in Versallies France. Before moving into films she worked briefly as a model. She is most well known for her 1974 role in Liliana Cavani's Portiere di notte Il. In which she played a concentration camp survior who is reunited with her guard who unmercilessly tourtured her. She also took on a more unusual role in the 1986 comedy Max mon amour where she plays a woman in love with a chimpanzee. A highly versitile actress her recent films inclued The Swimming Pool (where she speaks some beautiful french), Basic Instinct 2 and South of Arizona.
